In Vino Veritas (2025) is a vibrant, surreal composition by Prijon that delves into the dissolution of masks and the emergence of truth under the influence of intoxication—both literal and metaphorical. The canvas is alive with floating lips, split fruits, swirling vines, and pools of golden and red liquid, all pulsing with emotion and revelation. 

At the center, distorted faces melt into wine-colored shadows, embodying both ecstasy and the grotesque. The title, referencing the ancient saying “in wine, truth,” is reflected in the painting’s dreamlike geometry of confession. Golden droplets rain from above, resembling tears or divine nectar, symbolizing the moment when barriers fall and the soul’s most honest form is revealed. The vivid red mouths, open in laughter or scream, evoke Dionysian madness, celebration, and collapse.
