Description

Perception / Biased entry  investigates the threshold at which something previously outside awareness enters the perceptual field. Before a signal can be distinguished, interpreted, or understood, it must first become available to perception. The work focuses on this transitional condition: the moment of arrival when information, sensation, or event becomes present but has not yet acquired stable meaning.

The title Entrance therefore describes both an event and a threshold. Something crosses into visibility or awareness, yet its significance remains unresolved. The observer encounters presence before understanding.

The composition becomes a field of access, interruption, and directional movement. The eye follows these movements, searching for orientation and beginning the process of differentiation.

The work examines the first critical encounter between world and observer: the moment when something becomes perceptually present and the possibility of meaning begins.
