Description

System / Cognitive awareness investigates cognition not as passive reception but as an active process of organization. Perception provides fragments: signals, differences, relations, memories, and impressions. The mind does not simply record them. It selects, connects, compares, and arranges them into structures through which reality becomes intelligible.

The composition can be approached as a form of cognitive cartography. Visual elements operate like territories, nodes, pathways, interruptions, and zones of concentration. Their relationships suggest an internal map in continuous formation.

Awareness emerges not from any isolated element but from the dynamic organization of relationships among them. Yet this organization remains provisional. New information, changing attention, or reinterpretation can modify the internal map.

The painting asks whether we perceive reality simply as it is—or whether what we call reality is already shaped by the internal architecture through which experience is organized.
